Visitors find La Junta's natural waterslides an exciting must-do attraction in the valley. Instead of the water falling, it slides down the granite forming a long, slippery waterslide. It is located only five minutes from the Refugio Cochamó.
*These slides can be dangerous, too. During the 2007-2008 season the slides claimed two serious accidents - both being head injuries. It's extremely important to know the consequences of getting seriously injured in this very isolated area. There is no professional medical facility nearby and rescue by helicopter is rare. Please use these slides with great caution.
