Important to know
Normal reply time is zero to three days. If you don't receive any reply, please contact us directly in case something went wrong. Email Silvina at refugiocochamo@gmail.com. Refugio Cochamó relies on a satellite connection and limited power supply in this very isolated place.
Access. The only access to the Refugio Cochamó is via a 4-to-6 hour hiking or horseback riding trail. Because of its isolation, you can NOT drive nor ride a bike into the valley.
Months of operation. The Refugio Cochamó is open October 11, 2012 to April 10, 2013. Camping La Junta maintains the same schedule.
Confirming your reservation. A confirmation must be received by e-mail before securing a reservation. For camping, no reservations are necessary.
Cash only. Refugio Cochamó's accepts only cash. Chilean pesos, U.S. dollars and Argentine pesos are accepted.
